Happy Birthday Khushi - Anth Tak 30

Anthtak meets again

As Khushi turned 5 on the 12th of March, Imtiaz and Rekha hosted a party to celebrate the occasion on Saturday 13th March at Golconda Chimney. The ambience was colourful with streamers and balloons, there was a stage filled with dolphin shaped balloons for the kids to play with and run around. Apart from Anthtak group members were Khushi’s friends from her play school Neev. The theme for the evening was ‘Princes and Princesses’. The little boys were welcomed with bow and arrows and bubble blowers and the little girls got their princess crowns that would light up with a click of a button and wands. It was a pretty sight to watch the cute little ones thrilled to adorn themselves and turn into princes and princesses. There were games for the kids too- ‘Coin in a bucket’ ,’ A handful of Marbles’ , ‘Meow…..’ and ‘Who is the Lucky one’. The kids bagged loads of gifts and goodies and also got a special bag of gifts each. The birthday cake was a Barbie fresh cream one which Khushi cut as one and all sang and wished her many happy returns of the day. Here is Anthtak wishing you once again that may all your wishes come true and
‘Har Khushi ho wahan, tu jahan bhi rahe
Zindagi ho wahan, tu jahan bhi rahe…..’

As the evening progressed, Anthtak kept the group enthralled with their singing. Geethika sang ‘Lakdi ki kaati’ extremely well and delighted the young ones who danced away for the song. Ramita sang the latest number ‘Ik taara’ from Wake up Sid Bharath set the dance floor on fire as he tapped his feet to ‘Beat it’, the evergreen Michael Jackson number. Praneeta crooned away a special song ‘Give me some rain, give me some sunshine” Khushi’s little friends too took to the stage, all of them together and danced and sang a string of rhymes. Special appreciation to Siddharth and Praneeta who despite their board exams made it a point to attend and wish Khushi on her special day. Imtiaz’s guests Somen and Jasmine added plenty of colour to the evening as they took the crowd back to yesteryears by strumming to the guitar while singing popular numbers of Carpenters John Denvers, Stevie Wonder and groups like Abba, Beegees and Beatles.

The welcome drink and scrumptious starters paneer tikka, crispy veg, mushroom with baby corn and French fries were only a beginning to the extravagant dinner that followed - Sweet corn soup, different types of parathas, mutter paneer , malai kofta, tawa mixed vegetables, dal makhani, pulao, curd rice and yummy desserts- gulabjamoon, phirni and butterscotch icecream.

Nirmala was the woman behind the camera and the CD is ready. Thank you Nirmala.

Thank you Imtiaz and Rekha for a wonderful evening.
